Outreach
College Outreach
The College welcomes the opportunity to meet with physicians and stakeholders across the province to collaborate on the important health issues of the day. Meetings with medical associations in all zones have been undertaken with the aim that physicians will come to better understand the work of their regulator. For the College, these gatherings provide an opportunity to hear from physicians on the front lines of delivering our medical care, to listen to their concerns and to discuss solutions together.
Regular meetings are held with Nova Scotia Health Authority Zone Medical Directors, with Doctors Nova Scotia, and with the Department of Health and Wellness, among other stakeholders.
The College welcomes opportunities to collaborate with the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University. This includes presenting at rounds, meeting with residents and medical students. We are also appreciative of the opportunity to participate in the Dalhousie University Annual Refreshers which typically has hundreds of physicians in attendance from across the province.
The College is committed to expanding its outreach to physicians working in communities throughout the province and welcomes opportunities to do so.
